When we decided to sell our house, we had gone through other sales in previous years, that set our expectations of Realtor performance at less than a stellar level. We expected the same to happen selling this house. Not at all the approach from Jill. I was very pleasantly surprised on many fronts.

Initially I thought we could partially empty the house of furniture and leave some of our “fine, choice” pieces of furniture to add to the ambience, or empty it completely, and let the potential buyers use their imagination to furnish it in their own mind. We were wrong on both counts. Jill said, yes, you could do either option but in her experience staging made a significant difference in time on the market and the sale price attained. As it turned out, she was absolutely right on both counts.

I looked at Jill’s website and perused the designs of staged homes as well as reading reviews. I read a review from a client who said she had initially not staged her home and tried to sell unsuccessfully, then Jill had advised her to stage her home and it sold soon after. Not only was this lady happy with her sale, she has since come back to Jill to sell other properties successfully as well.

In real estate, I feel having repeat customers makes a very positive statement about your performance and character. We will be added to the long list of Jill’s repeat customers in the future.

Regarding the staging portion of the sale, Jill transformed the house into a show home so impressive I was tempted to keep it. The staging transcended all of our expectations.

As for promoting and listing the house, Jill has many contacts from her years of experience and we had very high showing numbers, very quickly, in a market that was rather sluggish at the time. Her suggestions of pricing were very realistic from the beginning and she was forthright in her presentation of both the pluses and minuses we were facing with the sale.

A house sale is an emotional and surprisingly complex undertaking. Jill took responsibility for explaining in detail each step we had to undertake. She has a great depth of knowledge in the rules and legalities of the sales process. Her actions in truly handling all aspects of the sale, guiding us in the protocols of offers and counter offers etc., allowed us to carry on our busy lives instead of bogging us down with minutiae of a house sale.
