| Free Winter Curb Appeal Tips |
|
Winter curb appeal seems to be non-existent in our snowy and cold world. However we can positively affect curb appeal during this season, in a number of ways. First and most important is the shovelling. It needs to be maintained, especially at a vacant home. This makes access easier and keeps buyers safer as they walk on your property. As well, no one likes to trudge through snow as their first impression. Second, exterior lighting can be enhanced through motion sensors and lighted pathways. Additions of extra lights that highlight shrubbery also give a welcoming first impression. Ensuring bulbs are of a higher wattage in the winter will enable buyers to see the property better in the evening. House numbers also should be clearly visible. Adding greenery to the front step or branches and a large vase will bring color to an otherwise white world. It is also very important to remove all seasonal and holiday decorating items off the front yard and house. When selling in the winter it is not time to show off your Santa's or Pumpkins.
